Goudey Gum Company's 1st baseball card issue featuring 239 cards. These cards are color art reproductions of either portrait or action photos. The cards are numbered and measure 2-3/8 x 2-7/8 (inches). The backs contain a short player biography.

Despite having 4 Babe Ruth cards and 2 Lou Gerhig cards, The key card of the set is card #106 of Napoleon Lajoie, who had long been retired. This card was actually printed in 1934 (and features a 1934 Goudey design on its front, but without the "Lou Gehrig says..." or "Chuck Klein says..." panel added), and was only available through a mail-in promotion for those wanting to complete their sets. The Babe Ruth card# 144 was double printed in place of the #106 card on the print sheet.
