1987 Sportflics Rookies was issued in 2 separate boxed sets of 25 cards each. These cards feature the Magic Motion design on the front and contain the players name, position and jersey number along the bottom border. The backs contain a full color player photo along with a bio and stats.

The first 25 cards were released in July and the second was released in October. The first set carries a premium due to the inclusion of a Mark McGwire card.
