1988 Fleer contains 660 cards. The card fronts feature a color player photograph surrounded by a white border with blue and red diagonal lines. The players name and position are found along the top left. The team logo is found at the top right. The backs of these cards contain player bio and statistical information along with a new feature called "At Their Best" which graphically shows the players pitching or hitting stats for home, road, day and night games.

Subsets include Highlight cards (HL) cards 622-640, Major League Prospects (MLP) cards 641-653 and Team Checklists (CL). This set was issued with team logo stickers.
