 Shawn Boskie was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 1st round (10th pick) of the 1986 amateur draft. He made his major league debut pitching for the Cubs in May of 1990. Shawn had a promising rookie season finishing with 5 wins in 15 starts and a 3.69 ERA. He struggled over the next 4 seasons before being traded to the Philadelphia Phillies in 1994. He was sent to Seattle Mariners before the 1994 season ended and was released after the season. Shawn signed with the California Angels in 1995 and played 2 seasons in California posting a career high 12 wins in 1996. He finished his big league career in 1998 with the Montreal Expos. Shawn played 9 seasons in the major leagues, winning 49 games and posting a 5.14 ERA. |
