 Thad Bosley was drafted by the California Angels in the 4th round of the 1974 amateur draft and made his major league debut in June of 1977 playing outfield for the Angels. A lifelong role player, Bosley played on 7 different teams over the course of 14 big league seasons. After a promising rookie campaign in which he hit .297, Bosley was traded to the Chicago White Sox. He spent 3 seasons in Chicago before being dealt to the Milwaukee Brewers in 1981. After a season in Milwaukee, he spent a season in Seattle with the Mariners. In 1983, he was dealt to the Chicago Cubs where he played for the next 4 seasons including a career high 108 game season in 1985. After the Cubs, Bosley spent 1 season in Kansas City, another in California before finishing his career with 2 seasons in Texas. For his career, Bosley hit .272 in 784 career games. |
